Try a Free Class
You should never have to walk into a class wondering whether you can keep up. Coach-Led Group Training is designed so you can work at the level that makes sense for you that day: your coach leads the room, explains what you're doing, and stays involved throughout to help with technique, pacing, and modifications when you need them. You may be sharing the workout with the people around you, but that doesn't mean everyone has to do it exactly the same way, and because the room is capped at twelve, you're never just another person in the crowd.
What a class feels like
There is something different about training alongside other people.
You work a little harder. You encourage each other. You laugh between rounds. You start recognizing the people who always seem to grab the spot next to you.
But this isn't a room where the loudest person wins or where you're expected to push through something just because everyone else is doing it.
Our coaches create an environment that feels encouraging, welcoming, and genuinely fun to train in. We'll challenge you when you're ready for it, help you adjust when you need to, and make sure you know what you're doing along the way.
You bring whatever energy you have that day.
We'll meet you there.
Cardio, boxing, and mobility
Coach-Led Group Training gives you different ways to move throughout the week, each with its own purpose.
Cardio builds your endurance, stamina, and overall fitness through workouts designed to get your heart rate up without making complicated movement the goal. Expect variety, a good sweat, and options that allow you to work at your own pace.
Boxing combines conditioning with technique, coordination, and a whole lot of fun. You'll learn the fundamentals, put combinations together, and get a full-body workout that tends to make the rest of the day disappear for a while.
Mobility gives your body something most of us need more of: time to slow down, move through different ranges, and work on the mobility and control that help you feel better both inside and outside the gym.
And as Valdes Performance grows, so will the ways we train. New class formats may be added, but the standard stays the same: thoughtful programming, real coaching, and a room where you feel supported.
How it fits with your strength work
Strength is at the center of what we do at Valdes Performance.
Coach-Led Group Training gives you more ways to build around it.
These classes can help improve your cardiovascular fitness, mobility, coordination, work capacity, and confidence while adding variety to your week. For some members, they complement Small Group Strength Training. For others, they become an approachable place to begin moving consistently again.
There isn't one perfect weekly schedule that everyone needs to follow.
Your goals, experience, schedule, recovery, and what you actually enjoy doing all matter. We'll help you figure out a combination that works for your life.
If you're looking for more individualized strength programming and a smaller training environment, our Small Group Strength Training is capped at six and offers an even higher level of personalized coaching.
How to start
Really.
You don't need to know how to box. You don't need to be flexible enough for mobility. You don't need to be able to run. And you definitely don't need to prove that you can keep up with anyone else in the room.
You just need a place to start.
That's why your experience at Valdes Performance begins with a free intro session. We'll learn more about you, your goals, your training history, and what you're looking for. From there, we'll help you choose the training options that make the most sense for you.
No pressure. No guessing where you belong.
Just good coaching and a clear place to begin.
Valdes Performance is located in Winter Springs and serves members throughout Oviedo, Casselberry, Longwood, Lake Mary, and the surrounding Seminole County area.
Book your free intro session and we'll help you find the right place to start.
Questions, answered
Absolutely. You do not need previous class experience or a certain training background to join. Your coach will explain what you're doing, help you find the right pace, and make sure you have options that feel right for you from the start.
No. Our boxing classes are designed so beginners can walk in and learn right alongside everyone else. Your coach will teach the fundamentals and build from there, so you do not need to know the punches, combinations, or footwork before you arrive.
That's exactly what the coach is there for. There is almost always another way to train the same goal. If something doesn't feel right, isn't appropriate for you, or simply isn't your best option that day, we'll help you adjust it without making you feel like you're doing the "easy" version.
Shoes you can move in and water. If you're coming to mobility, socks or bare feet work better than shoes for most of it.
Yes. Coach-Led Group Training can be combined with strength training on the same day. How you structure the two depends on your goals, the type of class, and what the rest of your training week looks like. If you're unsure, your coach can help you decide what makes the most sense for you.
Coach-Led Group Training is included with Move, Train, and Thrive memberships. Train and Thrive also include Small Group Strength Training, giving you the option to combine strength, conditioning, mobility, boxing, and open gym throughout your week. You can compare all of our membership options on the Services page.
