Recovery & Wellness, Built Into Your Training
Recovery and wellness are built into the way we train at Valdes Performance, with dedicated space, coaching, and support to help you feel ready for what comes next.

Recovery & Wellness at Valdes Performance centers on the Recovery Suite, a private room inside the studio with a Sunlighten mPulse Believe infrared sauna, reserved through the Valdes Performance app. It also includes mobility through Coach-Led Group Training, practical nutrition guidance as part of coaching, and member savings on Thorne supplements. What is included depends on your membership, and eligible members can add Recovery+ for additional access.
Why Your Coach Asks About Your Sleep
If a weight that normally feels manageable suddenly feels heavy, the answer is not always in the workout. Sometimes it is a short night of sleep, a stressful week, or simply more going on than usual.
Training asks your body to adapt, and recovery is part of that process. That is why our coaches pay attention to what is happening between sessions too. Sleep, stress, nutrition, soreness, and how you are feeling that day can all shape how we coach you when you walk in.
Inside the Recovery Suite
The Recovery Suite is a room of its own inside the studio, built around a Sunlighten mPulse Believe infrared sauna. It features near-, mid-, and far-infrared along with red light, giving members a dedicated place to slow down and recover away from the training floor.
Some memberships include a set number of recovery sessions each month, and eligible members who want more access can add Recovery+ to the membership they already have.
Sessions are reserved through the Valdes Performance app, making it easy to fit recovery into the same week as your training. Book one after a strength session, on a recovery day, or simply when some quiet time sounds especially good.
The suite will continue to grow with the studio, with more recovery and wellness options added as they become available.
Mobility and the Six Patterns We Program
Our programming is built around six foundational movement patterns: squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, and core and rotational stability. Each one benefits from having enough range and control to move well. That might mean spending more time on ankle mobility before a squat, working on shoulder position before pressing, or choosing a different variation when your body needs it. Mobility classes are part of Coach-Led Group Training, and the same ideas are worked into your training whenever they are useful.
How Nutrition Comes Up Here
Nutrition guidance is part of coaching here rather than a separate service. Most of the time, that means practical conversations about things like protein, hydration, fueling around training, and whether you are eating enough to support what you are asking your body to do.
Members also receive savings on Thorne supplements through our professional dispensary. We use Thorne because we trust the quality of the brand and want members to have a reliable option when supplementation makes sense for them. Our Golden Hour library goes deeper, including protein for women over 50 and creatine for women over 40.
Where to Start
Recovery works best when it supports the training and the life you already have, so we start by getting to know you. Your first step is a free intro session where we'll talk through your goals, your training history, show you around the studio, and help you understand the different ways to train and recover at Valdes Performance.
From there, we'll help you choose the training path and membership that make the most sense for your week, including where the Recovery Suite may fit in.
Valdes Performance is located in Winter Springs and serves members throughout Oviedo, Longwood, Casselberry, Lake Mary, and the surrounding Seminole County area. Book your free intro session, or look through everything we offer first. No card, no pressure, just a conversation.
Questions, answered
No. The Recovery Suite is a member benefit, and sessions are reserved through the Valdes Performance app. If you want to see the space and learn how recovery fits into the studio before joining, your free intro session is the perfect place to start.
Absolutely. Recovery does not have to happen right after a workout. You can reserve the suite on a training day, a day off, or anytime you want to give your body a little more time to slow down and recharge.
If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, or have any concerns about heat exposure, check with your healthcare provider before your first session. We also want your coach to know about anything that may affect how you train or recover.
Think of the sauna as one tool that can support recovery, not a replacement for rest. Sleep, easier days, nutrition, and giving your body time between harder sessions still matter. The Recovery Suite is there to complement those habits, not take their place.
Mobility helps give you the range and control to use your strength well. When you can move comfortably into the positions your training asks for, it is easier to perform movements with good technique and keep building from there.
If you love using the Recovery Suite and find yourself wanting more sessions than your membership includes, Recovery+ may be a good fit. If you are not sure yet, start with the access you already have and see how often you naturally use it.
