Open Gym Is Your Time in the Studio, on Your Own Plan
A member benefit at our expanded Winter Springs studio. You reserve the time in the app and train on your own, without a coach running the session.

Open Gym at Valdes Performance is a member benefit, not a public gym and not a separate membership to buy. It is included with our core training memberships, reserved through the scheduling app, and self-directed, which means no coach runs the session. Open Gym is available now at our Winter Springs studio.
Coached hours are scheduled. The rest of your week is whatever it turns out to be, and Open Gym is for that part. It is available now at our expanded Winter Springs studio.
There is no prescribed plan and nothing you have to complete. Strength work, conditioning, mobility, or the one lift you keep meaning to practice: the window is yours, and so is the decision about what fills it.
A member benefit, not a public gym
Open Gym is included with our core training memberships. It is not sold on its own, and it will not be open to the public. You will reserve a window in the Valdes Performance app, the same place you book coached sessions, so you can see what is open before you leave the house.
Every member gets the Valdes Performance app. If your membership includes programming, your written workout is already sitting in it, which is usually enough structure for an hour on your own. Nothing says you have to follow it that day. Towels and the coffee and hydration bar are there whether a coach is or not.
You will know what to do with the time
Training at Valdes starts with a free intro session, then a movement assessment. Before you ever train here on your own, you will have seen how you squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, and hold your trunk steady under load. Those six patterns are the frame every program here is built on.
Open Gym is not a coached session. Nobody will be calling your tempo or deciding your load, because that is what your coached hours are for. What carries over is continuity. If your membership includes programming, the coach who wrote it is the coach you see on the floor the rest of the week, and they remember what you were working toward last week.
If you are newer to lifting, start with coached training and let Open Gym come later. Our comparison of small group training and personal training lays out which one fits a beginner's week. If it has been years since you trained regularly, getting back into fitness after years away covers the first ninety days.
Where Open Gym fits
Most hours at Valdes have a coach in them. Personal training runs one to one or with a partner. Small Group Strength Training caps at six. Coach-Led Group Training, the umbrella for cardio, boxing, and mobility, caps at twelve. Open Gym is the one block on the schedule with no coach attached, which is why it works best once you already have a plan and a coach who knows you.
Now Open in the Expanded Studio
Open Gym is open now in our expanded studio, with access to our strength, cardio, and mobility equipment for you to use on your own schedule.
Bring the question to a free intro session. We will talk through what you are training for and show you which memberships include Open Gym.
Questions, answered
Yes. Open Gym is available now at our Winter Springs studio. Reserve your time through the scheduling app, and if you are considering a membership, a free intro session is the place to ask how it fits your training.
No. Open Gym is for members only. There will be no day passes and no drop-ins, and it is not sold separately from a membership.
Open Gym is included with our core training memberships and is never sold as a standalone membership. If you are weighing memberships, ask a coach which one fits the number of days you can train, and Open Gym will be part of that answer.
No. Training here starts the same way for everyone, with an intro session and a movement assessment, so the six patterns your program is built on will be familiar long before you use the room on your own. If you want more structure than that, coached sessions and membership programming are there for it.
No. Open Gym is self-directed, so no coach will be running your session or supervising the floor. Coaching is what personal training, Small Group Strength Training, and Coach-Led Group Training are for. Open Gym is the one block on the schedule without a coach attached, which is why we point newer lifters to coached training first.
Through the Valdes Performance app, the same place you book coached sessions. Open Gym time will be reserved rather than walk-in, and the app will show what is open before you head over.
